Triple R Events is a project of Lynne Serpe and Robyn Sklar Nelson. We are long-time Green Party members who don’t just vote green - we live green. We organize monthly green events in LIC/Astoria that are fun and educational, not boring and preachy.

Build It Green! NYC, in conjunction with the Council on the Environment of NYC’s (CENYC) Office of Recycling Outreach and Education (OROE), is proud to host its Second Annual Recyclefest Block Party. The folks at Build It Green are shutting down the block for an afternoon of live music, food, crafts, and a CENYC Stop ‘N Swap. Feel free to bring useable clothing, sporting goods, books, housewares, and toys to the free swap. Or just bring yourself and enjoy the festivities! On site will be boat, furniture, and planter box construction using Build It Green materials; live bands; a Compost Project worm workshop; a Two Coves Community Garden plant sale; Transportation Alternatives Queens Committee bike valet and much much more! All items left behind will be donated to the nice folks at Hour Children. Hope to see you there!

Join Lynne & Robyn in celebrating It's My Park! Day at Two Coves Community Garden from 12pm - 4pm for their "Victory Garden" day of food, flowers, fun and friendship. Workshops on canning, pickling, composting and container gardening. The garden is located at the triangle intersection where Astoria Boulevard, 30th Avenue and 8th Street meet. FREE.
