JUNE 1, 2013 - JAMAICA CENTER FASHION SHOW
On Saturday June 1st, Jamaica Center, New York City's most authentic and energetic downtown, is exploding into the Summer with a never to be forgotten interactive fashion showcase, “Jamaica Collections”
The event will feature exclusive creations from Jamaica's premier, up-and-coming fashion design talent. There will also be a sneak peek of our very own "Jamaica Center Collection" featuring the latest styles to hit all the hottest local stores. Join us for a red carpet evening of fashion, food, art and mini-makeovers.

On September 8, 2011, during Fashion Night Out in New York City, the Jamaica Center Business Improvement District took over the streets of downtown Jamaica Queens to host a live first-of-its kind fashion walk on the streets of Jamaica Avenue. Located in downtown Jamaica Queens NY, the Jamaica Center Business Improvement District is home to New York City's largest urban fashion district.

ABOUT - JAMAICA CENTER / JAMAICA BID
The Jamaica Center Business Improvement District encompasses the borough’s primary retail shopping street – Jamaica Avenue from Sutphin Blvd. to 169th Street.
Founded in 1979, the Jamaica Center Business Improvement District is a non profit organization that seeks to make the Jamaica Center business district a thriving business hub and an enjoyable destination to shop, work, live, and visit.
The BID’s core programming includes 4 strategic initiatives:
1) Enhance - Ensure that the district is attractive, welcoming, safe, clean, and graffiti-free.
2) Promote - Conduct creative district marketing campaigns, host special events, and encourage tourism.
3) Coordinate - Align the district’s retail mix with shopper preferences and connect district businesses with the resources needed to succeed.
4) Advocate - Champion for public improvements, capital investments, and economic development initiatives in the downtown.
