1.Seafood Restaurants In Long Island City LIC - Waterfront Crabhouse is now The LOFT LIC
Restaurants In Long Island City The Crabhouse Seafood Restaurant In LIC Updated February 2018 / Long Island City Neighborhood / LIC Restaurants / Restaurants In Queens / Queens Buzz. This is a review of the former Waterfront Crab House restaurant in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens NY. The Waterfront Crab House was an historic building that housed a seafood restaurant. The original Waterfront Crabhouse first opened in the historic building back in the 1970's [reportedly in 1977]. This review below was done prior to the closing which took place in February of 2015, a month after the death of Tony Mazzarella, the prior [Waterfront] Crabhouse owner. The LIC Crabhouse then changed ownership, remodeling was done, and the restaurant was re-opened in August of 2016 as the Crabhouse Restaurant with much more modern decor and menu - and it was still a seafood restaurant. In January of 2018 the restaurant was renamed The Loft LIC and continues to be operated by the same owners as the Crabhouse Restaurant, Joseph Lucil and Skinny Lee of SHI and Skinny's Cantina - both popular Long Island City restaurants. The restaurant cuisine is reportedly surf and turf [seafood and steak] with a Latin influence. Click here to read our report and view photos of the Waterfront Crabhouse in Long Island City LIC.

4.Valentine's Day Restaurants In Queens
Valentine's Day Restaurants In Queens Queens Restaurants / Queens Neighborhoods / February 2016. Valentine's Day is next weekend when lovers far and wide enjoin in the great romantic migration, for a night out on the town. If the night is done smartly, it comes complete with a thoughtful card, a small box of candies and her favorite flowers; followed by a nice romantic dinner. The origins of Valentine's Day are not well documented. It's believed to have been named after Saint Valentine who was apparently a Catholic martyr who died over 1500 years ago. Today the holiday is not associated with religion so much as flowers, candies, cards and dinners. And the holiday spokesperson is now Cupid, a Roman god of desire, and from what we hear, quite a mischief maker. Click this link to go to a brief guide of Queens restaurants for Valentine's Day where you will find links to Queens restaurants we've reviewed. It's worth noting that most of these reviews are positive because we've selected some of the best restaurants in their categories in Queens. It's also worth noting that most of these restaurants do not currently advertise on this site, so there wasn't any quid pro quo. That said, in time we will certainly try to convince as many of them as we can, into advertising on this site, because we have a large discerning dining audience that includes you. Enjoy.

9.Photos Of 5 Boro Bike Ride 2010
Photos - 5 Boro Bike Ride In Queens May 2nd, 2010 / LIC & Astoria / Queens Buzz. It was a sunny, hot, humid morning as I biked my way over to the Queens Boro Bridge to watch 30,000 Five Boro Bike Riders descend into Queens. None of them seemed to be having any difficulty, as they made their way up 21st Street to Astoria Park. I followed along and shot some photos and it's worth saying that 21st Street is in need of some repair. It's a rumbling road that one would expect to find in a third world nation, not along the East River waterfront of America's largest city. Click here for a few particulars, a slide show and 5 boro bike ride photos 2010 in Astoria Park and Queens.

10.Astoria Music Now - Photos & Video
Astoria Music Now Astoria Arts & Music Hosts 7th Annual Astoria Musical Festival September 16, 2015 / Astoria Neighborhood / Live Music Queens / Queens Buzz. On Saturday, August 29th I headed over to Astoria Park to attend the 7th Annual Astoria Music Now music festival. It was a near perfect day with the temperatures in the 80's, plenty of sun and not too much humidity. There were three stages on the Great Lawn - one at the top of the hill, a second one near the foot of one of the towers of Hell Gate Bridge and the third along the East River along the western perimter of the Great Lawn. In this manner one could choose from three performances, and once chosen, listen out of earshot of the other two stages. Before I settled in to listen to the music I decided to take a walk along the waterfront there were a number of art galleries / exhibits in tents lining the waterfront. Click here to read the rest of the story, view photos and a video of Astoria Music Now.
