Things To Do In Queens

Thanksgiving Weekend 2009

Queens / November 23, 2009. For many this is a rare enjoyable four day holiday. While for others this is a long important commercial weekend. It is over the next few days that these two meet ... with what we hope will be a good experience for both.

Art Museums And Dance & Theatre Companies In Queens

Queens is home to a number of art museums with growing stature. Some are already world class such as PS1/ Moma and Noguchi, while others have begun taking artistic risks which have attracted the interest and attention of the boro, such as the Queens Museum Of Art. A number of evolving dance and theater companies have also found their home in Queens. These range from Thalia Theatre in Woodside, to the Secret Theatre in LIC, both of whom are performing this weekend [there are others worth mention but they're not performing this weekend]. Queens is also home to many fine restaurants. The dining options in the boro are some of the best in the entire world. The cuisines are authentic, made by immigrants who've come directly from the homeland of cuisine you taste - or in some cases by their children who grew up working the business. Queens restaurants also have the advantage of offering you fine cuisine at a discount to their Manhattan neighbors, given the rent and labor differences, and Queens offers a wide range of choices to match nearly any budget. We wish you a happy Thanksgiving. We hope your family and friends are in fine health and good spirits. And that you may all enjoy a harmonious feast and weekend together without digging up too much of the family stuff that gets everyone all riled up. Cheers!
