The Jackson Heights Art Club 2009 Fall Outdoor Art Exhibit
The Jackson Heights Art Club 2009 Fall Outdoor Art Exhibit has been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 24th and 25th, weather permitting.
On the fence at PS 69, 37th Avenue, between 77th and 78th Streets in Jackson Heights, NY 11372.
October 24th and 25th
10:00 am - 5:00 pm
This event is free and open to the public!
The Jackson Heights Art Club offers classes in:
Watercolor, drawing, oil and acrylic for adults and children.

Jackson Heights Art Club Open Workshops 2009
Beginning Friday, October 9th, JHAC will be holding Open Workshops on Friday afternoons from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m.*
Chairs, tables, and easels available. Independent work, no instructor on site. No room to paint at home? Come to the club and join us!
Fees:
JHAC members: $5.00
Non members: $10.00

The Jackson Heights Art Club 2009 Fall Outdoor Art Exhibit

On the fence of P.S. 69 on 37TH Avenue, between 77th & 78th Streets, Jackson Heights, NY 11372
HOW MUCH:
Members of the JHAC - $30.00
Non-member artists - $50.00
For a space approximately 12 feet long by 6 feet high
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
* Only original works may be entered, including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and mixed media. You may also enter prints of your own original work.
* Artists or their representatives must be present with their works during all show hours.
* Artists with a limited number of pieces are free to share space with another artist.
* Your work must be in place each day by 10:30 am.
* No projecting fence racks are allowed and no show articles are permitted at the curb. Browse boxes and portfolios must be placed alongside of fence.
* Artists are responsible to remove all strings, wires, hooks, and name plates from the fence at the end of the day. Please remove all rubbish from your area.
* We suggest you bring a chair, string, “S” or drapery hooks or clamps to hang your paintings if you do not have racks. Also bring drop cloths or plastic covers to protect against sudden rain.
* Place numbers on the paintings you wish to have judged. If you wish to have all of your work judged, it is not necessary to put numbers on your paintings. Judging is for ribbons only.
* PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN THE APPLICATION WITH PAYMENT BY SEPTEMBER 30, 2009. (Application may be found below. Just copy into your word processing program and print).

No experience necessary. Coffee & tea. Come join us for some inspiration, creativity & community. Classes are limited to 15 students per class. Come early to secure a seat or call to reserve one. Call (718) 426-9821, leave your name and phone number and a reservation will be made in your name.
Classes started Tuesday, July 7th and will run through Thursday, August 27th, 2009.
Every Tuesday Afternoon -- 1-3 pm
Oil & Acrylic: "Explore your creative side with Eric March. This class will cover a new topic in oil painting every week: one-shot painting, light effects, color mixing, drawing the head, working from life and more. A great way to get started with oil painting or to refine your skills. There will be an additional $5 modeling fee for life painting classes."
Every Tuesday Evening 7-9 pm -and-
Thursday Morning 10-12 noon
Drawing & Watercolor: Need some inspiration, drama or serenity? Find focus balance and value with instructor Caryn Gerega. She'll cover all the essentials with each class, starting with a lesson in drawing and moving forward into watercolor.
Every Thursday Afternoon 1-3 pm
Children's Classes: Out of school and need to keep your child's mind active? Despina Argyros, our children's class instructor is up to the task and does it with grace. Various painting and craft activities are on the agenda!
