MAY is the month of Mothers Day, graduations, Memorial Day and the unofficial beginning of summer.

This month the Municipal Art Society hosts Janes Walk, there's the 5 Boro Bike Ride, Mothers Day, Czech & Slovak Festival at the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, the Taste of Queen, the St. Demetrios Carnival in Astoria and several Memorial Day Parades. Also, NYC Beaches open for the season.

There's plenty to do in the parks, the farmers markets and street fairs are in full swing, and outdoor theater, concerts and films begin.

Queens is also the host of numerous concerts, theater and film events, as well as great food, parks and good public transit.
