New exhibit about symbiotic relationship between sculpture and design in the years leading up to the 1939 World's Fair.
LIC Art Bus shuttles between Noguchi, Socrates, PS1 MoMa and the Sculpture Center thru the summer.

September 6: LAST PS1 Warm Up Party

Thru September 7: 13 Most Wanted Men: Andy Warhol and the 1964 World's Fair
Opening reception 6 - 8 pm & party 8 pm - midnight on 4/26. Warhol's controversial work was whitewashed [sound familiar?] just prior to the opening of the World's Fair. Free w/ admission.
September 7 - 21: Sacred Waters: A Collection of Hindu Offerings From Jamaica Bay
Opening reception from 3 - 6 pm on 9/14. A Hindu green initiative conducts monthly clean ups at Jamaica Bay in alignment with the Hindu tradition of Ganga Puja [worship to the waters] through seva which is selfless service.

The Flushing pool is open Monday - Friday from 6 am to 10 pm, Saturday from 9 am - 10 pm and Sunday from 9 am - 8 pm. Annual Fee is $75 adults / $10 seniors / and under 18 is free.
