The following is our first attempt to provide you with a view of the range of facilities, events and activities provided by the parks of Queens. We encourage you to make use of these facilities because they provide healthy, fun, and either free or inexpensive entertainment for both individuals and families with children.

Doughboy Park - Woodside / Sunnyside Queens
Doughboy Park is located near 55th Street a block from Roosevelt Avenue within Woodside and very near the Sunnyside neighborhood. This park sits along a nicely sloping hill and has a bench area surrounding a statue dedicated to the 'Doughboys' of WWI. The park is useful for sunning in the summer and sledding in the winter. King Park - Jamaica Queens
King Park is located in the heart of Jamaica Queens and was once part of the residence of Rufus King, a signer of the U.S. Constitution. The park is surrounded by a number of older homes and has a lot of open space for kids to run and play. King Manor Museum is located in the park.

Rainey Park - Long Island City Queens
Rainey Park is located along the East River just south of Socrates Sculpture Park along the Astoria / Long Island City line. This park provides beautiful East River and Manhattan views and appears to mainly be a sitting and walking park.

Queensbridge Park - Long Island City Queens
Queensbridge Park is located just north of the Queensboro Bridge along the East River. It is one of the few parks where they allow residents to barbeque.

The Roy Wilkins Park is located at the southern end of the Jamaica section of Queens. This park is home to the annual Reggae Festival.
