TRANSPORTATION. 1) From Astoria / West Queens / Brooklyn [30 - 60 mins]. From Astoria take the N or W to Queensboro Plaza and [henceforth also applies to Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Jackson Heights & Corona] hop on the #7 heading to Main St / Flushing and take it to the end of the line. 2) From NYC [30 - 45 mins]. The best way is to take the E or the F which are mostly express heading to Jamaica and get off at Jackson Hts / Roosevelt Ave / 74 St / Broadway. Transfer onto the #7 heading to Main St / Flushing and take it to the end of the line.

3) From Long Island / Jamaica / Forest Hills. From Long Island take the LIRR to the Jamaica Station and transfer into the subway line. All - Take E or F subway to 74 St / Broadway / Jackson Heights / Roosevelt Ave and transfer to the #7 heading to Main St / Flushing and get off at the end of the line.

4) By CAR. From the Long Island Expressway [LIE] heading East [see West next] you can take Exits 21 through 25, but for purposes of attractions and restaurants, the Exits you'll most likely be taking are the following: a) Exit 21 [108th St in Corona to go to the Zoo, NY Hall of Science], b) Exit 22B [Grand Central Parkway (GCP) for USTA, CitiField - formerly Shea, Flushing Meadows Corona Park [see map for what's in the park] and c) Exit 23 Main Street [Flushing Town Hall, Bowne House, Kingsland Homestead]. For Westbound LIE Exit 23 as above and Exit 22A for USTA, CitiField, Flushing Meadows Corona Park. From the Van Wyck heading south take Exit 11 [69th Road / Jewel Ave - goes to the park] and northbound take either Exit 12A for the park attractions or 13 E to go to Northern Blvd [also NY 25A to go into Flushing Main Street. DIRECTIONS / TRANSIT INFO INTO FOREST HILLS

1) From Astoria / Brooklyn / West Queens [30 - 60 mins]. From Astoria take the N or W to Queensboro Plaza and transfer to the #7 heading to Main St / Flushing [Sunnyside / Woodside hop the #7 too]. At 74 St / Broadway / Jackson Heights / Roosevelt transfer to the E or F [expresses] heading to Jamaica / 179 St / Parsons / Archer or take the R or V [locals] heading to Forest Hills / 71 Ave. Get off at Forest Hills / 71 Ave to arrive in the main shopping / dining district, as well as Forest Hills Gardens. You can also take the R or V directly from the subway station at Steinway and Broadway or at 36th Street and Northen Blvd and get off at the end of the line [Forest Hills / 71 Ave]. 2) From NYC [30 - 45 mins]. The best way is to take the E or the F which are mostly express heading to Jamaica and get off at Forest Hills / 71 Ave. You can also take the #7, R or V and follow directions from 1) above, but this is much, much slower.

3) From Flushing. From Flushing - Take #7 subway to 74 St / Broadway / Jackson Heights / Roosevelt Ave and transfer to the E, F, R or V heading to Jamaica or Forest Hills and get off at the Forest Hills / 71 Ave stop [see 1) for E, F, R, V details].3) From LI / Jamaica: Take the LIRR to the Jamaica Station. From the Jamaica Station take the E to Forest Hills / 71 Ave.

4) By CAR. From Brooklyn, take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and exit onto the Long Island Expressway [LIE] heading East. Then, along with those coming from NYC on the LIE, take Exit 21 at 108th Street. 1) From NYC and Brooklyn. From Brooklyn, take the G subway to Long Island City / Court Square where you transfer to the #7 line and go one stop to Queensboro Plaza. Then transfer onto either the N or W going to Astoria / Ditmars Blvd. From NYC take the N or W subway lines, where it takes only ten minutes from Lexington / 59th. 2) From Queens. From Sunnyside take the #104 bus from 48th Street and Queens Blvd to travel along Broadway in Astoria. From Woodside take the #18 bus from 61st Street and Woodside Ave to go along 30th Avenue in Astoria. From Flushing - Take #7 subway to 74th St / Broadway and transfer to the V or R and get off at Steinway St. From Jamaica take the E or F going into NYC and transfer at Jackson Hts / Roosevelt Ave to the V or R and get off at Steinway St.

3) From LI: Take the LIRR to either the Jamaica or preferably the Woodside Station. From the Jamaica Station take the E to 74th St / Broadway and transfer to the V or R going into NYC. Exit at the Steinway St exit. From Woodside, take the #7 train to Queensboro Plaza and transfer to the N or W going to Astoria / Ditmars Blvd.

4) By CAR. From the BQE take Exit 40 [30th Avenue] or Exit 41 [Astoria Blvd], just prior / after the RFK Bridge [they renamed the Triborough Bridge].
