Noguchi Museum In Long Island City
July 6: First Fridays
Begins at 5.30 pm. Stringed quartet performance of music, with short film, The Making of an Urban Garden, beginning at 7 pm.
July 8: Second Sundays
At 3 pm. Music in the garden in the summers. This month features Bang on a Can [modern music]. Free with admission.
Through September 9: Highlights From The Collection
This exhibit highlights a variety of Noguchi's work taken from the museum's collection. Of note are string and wood from the 1940's, steel and aluminum from the 1950's as well as drawings of furniture and lights.

Queens Museum Of Art [QMA] Exhibit in Flushing
July 6, 13, 20, 27: Passport Fridays
From 6.30 - 10 pm. Multi-cultural event, including dance, theatrical and musical performances highlighting many of the ethinic cultures represented in the Queens population. Free.
We'll post more detail on these later. July 6 is an exploration of Haiti.
Thru January 2012: Caribbean Crossroads of the World
Fascinating new exhibit examining the multi-ethnic culture of the Caribbean. Free with admission.
