The weather is supposed to be pretty good all weekend. No rain is expected this weekend, so it should be fairly dry on Sunday, and the high temperatures will be in the mid 60’s. Queens 5 Boro Bike Tour – NYC Map
As you can see by the adjacent map, the tour makes its way north up the full length of Manhattan, where the route briefly crosses the Harlem River into the Bronx and then cuts back into Manhattan, and winds its way down along the East River before crossing into Queens over the Queens Borough Bridge. As you’re leaving Manhattan, you’ve completed about 14 miles of the trip.

The bike tour winds its way up Crescent Street to Astoria Park which is one of the major water and bathroom stops along the 40 mile 5 Boro Bike Tour. The course then circles back around, heading south – more or less along the East River – coming through LIC before crossing the Pulaski Bridge into Brooklyn. We estimate that the course in Queens adds between 3 and 5 miles, which puts you about at the halfway mark as you’re leaving Queens.
The other major rest stops for the tour include FDR Park [Staten Island], the Con Edison Learning Center in Long Island City, the Brooklyn Bridge Park and Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island.
5 Boro Bike Tour Queens – Map of Brooklyn
The next leg of the trip takes the riders down past the Williamsburg, Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges and then to the foot of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Brooklyn, like Manhattan, are the longest legs of the trip. As you’re leaving Brooklyn, you likely have less than five miles to go before you hit the Staten Island Ferry.
Cycling up this bridge is likely the toughest part of the entire course and there’s a wind the comes in off the Atlantic that can make it even more challenging. But the views are tremendous and you can see for miles around.

The tour unofficially ends at the ferry station on Staten Island where riders take the ferry back to the starting point at Battery Park on the southern tip of Manhattan.
