June 14 - July 14: Crossing Art in Flushing - Going Green II
Opening reception June 16th from 3 - 6 pm. Going Green II is an exhibit that includes visual, photographic, video, sculptural and installation elements with the theme of man interacting with nature in an urban environment. Part of QAX. June 7: Long Island City Artists
From 5.30 - 8 pm. Opening reception for LIC Artists at Sterling Bank at 30-30 47th Avenue in LIC. Admission free.
June 17: Sunnyside Artists - Queen of Angels Art Fair

A celebration of art & food in Queens. Many events listed in our calendar are affiliated with the program as denoted by QAX. The theme of the weekend revolves around artists taking a creative approach to solving the nation's problems. Admissions free unless otherwise noted.

Flux Factory - Long Island City
June 9 - 24: Bionic Garden / Flux Thursdays
Opening reception June 14 at 8 pm. On the second Thursday night of every month, the Flux Factory holds a potluck dinner / art symposium. Bionic Garden this month explores natural growth in an urban environment. Free with food contribution.

June 6 - September 9: Highlights From The Collection
This exhibit highlights a variety of Noguchi's work taken from the museum's collection. Of note are string and wood from the 1940's, steel and aluminum from the 1950's as well as drawings of furniture and lights.

PS1 Art Exhibits in Long Island City

This exhibit contains sculptures of animals. The intent is to help animal shelters and save species. Salads will be served Mondays at 2.15 pm and Saturdays at 3 pm.

Contemporary artist Henry Taylor paints on canvasses and everything else, like bottles, cans, shirts etcetera, lending a unique perspective to his work.
