This exhibit highlights a variety of Noguchi's work taken from the museum's collection. Of note are string and wood from the 1940's, steel and aluminum from the 1950's as well as drawings of furniture and lights.

From 6.30 - 10 pm. Multi-cultural event, including dance, theatrical and musical performances highlighting many of the ethinic cultures represented in the Queens population. The cultures showcased are West Indies 8/3, Taiwan 8/10, Dominican Republic 8/24 and Afro-Puerto Rican 8/31. Free.

August 11 - October 7: Fifteen Years of SE Asian Women's Creative Collective

Opening reception on 8/11 from 3 - 6 pm. Art works by 100 women of the SE Asian diaspora that explore the various roles of women through a range of mediums.

Thru January 2012: Caribbean Crossroads of the World

Fascinating new exhibit examining the multi-ethnic culture of the Caribbean. Free with admission.
