The full ride is 30 - 35 miles, but you can cut it in half by taking the subway home. Free admission.

The Flushing facilities are open year around. Bring a swimming suit, a swimming cap and quality padlock to be admitted to the pool. And you can rent skates to use the world ice arena [both in the same buillding].
